Any and all of those statements will do. 1. This is a hot topic among those who are awake and breathing. 2. A dialogue will always shed light. 3. Any discussion on missions will be messy, as the very nature of cross cultural living and working messes with our categories.
After realizing our categories are culture-based and get over the shock of having them battered, shredded, and rearranged, then we are open for dialogue and living with the messes it creates. We learn to live with an untidy worldview, including our theologies. We get stretched. Inevitably we begin moving toward determining what is important - worth debating - and what isn't. This is a process of maturing - being refined in Christ as we really listen to one-another, drawing closer to the heart of our Father.
